OUR VITAMIN B12 SUPPLEMENT
There are two forms of vitamin B12 available on the market: methylcobalamin and cyanocobalamin. We use methylcobalamin in our vitamin B12 supplements, as research has shown that this form of vitamin B12 remains in the body for a longer period of time and at higher levels than cyanocobalamin. This means that your body is supplied with vitamin B12 for longer if you use methylcobalamin than if you use cyanocobalamin. Additionally, cyanocobalamin is not something nature ever intended your body to deal with it exists only as a chemical synthesized in laboratories. It does not occur naturally in any living organism.
WHY IS VITAMIN B12 IMPORTANT?
Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin that is usually only found in meat as a food source. B12 cannot be stored by the body. It must therefore be a standard part of the diet in order to avoid a deficiency. If you follow a vegetarian or vegan diet it is very important to monitor your vitamin B12 intake as it is a nutrient rarely found in food sources other than fish and meat.
WHAT DOES VITAMIN B12 DO?
B12 can contribute to normal:
PURE VITAMIN B12
When it comes to taking vitamin B12 supplements you don't want anything but B12 in your supplement. We offer B12 in the form of a vegetable cellulose capsule. This enables us to offer a supplement that does not require any unnecessary chemicals, excipients, binders or unnatural fillers. A vegetable cellulose capsule is designed specifically to break down naturally within the acid of your stomach, ensuring the nutrients are absorbed during digestion.
SUITABLE FOR VEGANS
B12 plays a vital role in our body processes. It's important in the production of red blood cells (vegetarians and vegans may particularly benefit from supplementing with Vitamin B12) and essential for cell replication. It also assists in converting food to energy. As time goes by, Vitamin B12 levels decrease in our blood, so older people may benefit by supplementing in terms of their general well-being. Vitamin B12, when combined with Folic Acid, may help maintain the heart, as together they are thought to help process levels of an amino acid called homocysteine. B12 is particularly acknowledged for its benefits to the nervous system as well as the immune system.
